  • Glen D'Souza

Dr. Glen D’Souza is an Assistant Professor in Arizona State University’s Biodesign Center for Fundamental and Applied Microbiomics and the School of Molecular Sciences, where he directs the Microbial Ecosystems Laboratory. He earned his PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology (Germany) and completed postdoctoral training at ETH Zurich and EAWAG (Switzerland). His lab investigates how bacterial behaviours and intercellular interactions determine the composition and function of microbial communities. His team combines ecological experiments, microfluidics, automated time-lapse microscopy, and NanoSIMS to dissect cooperation, competition, and metabolic cross-feeding from single cells to whole ecosystems.
